Margaret Bourke-White: The Photography of Design, 1927-1936

Margaret Bourke-White (1904 -1971) was a key photographer for Life magazine through the late 1930s and 1940s. This exhibition features 140 vintage prints by this landmark photo-journalist from the 1920s and 30s. This is the first major exhibition to explore Bourke-White’s early years and her emergence as one of the twentieth-century’s best-known female photographers. The exhibition is organized by The Phillips Collection in Washington D.C.
