Couch Stories: Visitors Capture Bart at TAM

Since opening in late July, Bart at TAM: Animating America’s Favorite Family has been a fan favorite. An unauthorized and in-depth look at the process and teamwork needed to create America’s longest-running primetime animated television show, Bart at TAM, features over 100 hand generated animation cels, scripts, and drawings related to the first 13 season of  The Simpsons. Works on view and a variety of interactive moments in the gallery encourage visitors to explore all that goes into making the show’s distinctive identity, characters, style, and comedy.

From recreating couch gags to taking snapshots of animation cels and character cameos throughout the space, TAM visitors have explored every nook of this exhibition, creating and sharing exciting memories of their time at the museum.
