Volunteer at TAM
We are thrilled that you’re interested in joining our volunteer community at Tacoma Art Museum! Our volunteers play a crucial role in making our museum a vibrant and welcoming place for all visitors.
Follow the steps below to start your volunteer journey:
Step 1:
Visit the Volunteer Hub and Complete Your Application
To get started, please visit our Volunteer Hub here. The Volunteer Hub is your one-stop destination for all things related to volunteering at the Tacoma Art Museum. Once on the Volunteer Hub, create a new account by clicking on the “Sign Up” or “Register” button and filling in the required information. This registration process includes completing the Volunteer Application form, which helps us learn more about you, your interests, and how you can best contribute to our museum community.
Step 2:
Complete a Background Check
After submitting your application, you will need to complete a background check. This is a standard procedure to ensure the safety and security of our visitors, staff, and volunteers. Instructions for the background check will be provided once your application is reviewed.
Step 3:
Attend an Orientation Session
Once your background check is successfully completed, you will be invited to attend a Volunteer Orientation session. These sessions provide important information about our museum, volunteer roles, and expectations. You’ll also have the chance to meet other new volunteers and ask any questions you might have.
Step 4:
Start Volunteering!
After attending the orientation session, you are ready to start volunteering! Log in to the Volunteer Hub to sign up for available shifts and make a difference at the Tacoma Art Museum.
If you have any questions or need assistance at any point in the process, please do not hesitate to contact our Education Department at education@tacomaartmuseum.org.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with us.
We look forward to welcoming you to our team!
