Join us as artist Kristina Batiste leads a workshop exploring clay’s responsiveness to the emotional quality of music. Kristina will first lead a discussion with participants, sharing how Nina Simone’s You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To connects with her work. Participants will then paint and glaze clay salvers created by Batiste as their canvas to create a work that connects to a piece of music.

TAM is proud to host monthly artist-led workshops inspired by the what if exhibition. Artists will each lead a discussion with participants, sharing the piece of literature or print media that resonates with their work on view. After the discussion, the artist will lead a workshop or making circle, where participants will create a work of art inspired by their work and the earlier discussion.
This series of programming will take place 1-2 times a month from July- September.
