OUT LOUD! Call to Teen Artists
- Ages: 12–18
- Deadline: Midnight, April 20, 2016
Often times, the voices of youth are overshadowed and muted. In the face of the world we are inheriting, we are often unheard. The installation OUT LOUD! aims to amplify the voices and concerns of our generation through art created by young people.
The Business of Art class at Tacoma School of the Arts invites artists, ages 12-18, to contribute to an installation that will be on view at Tacoma Art Museum May 19–June, 2016. Show what matters to you, as youth in the Tacoma/Seattle community. Works may include visual and performance art. We wish to create an atmosphere in which all types of artists have a voice. We encourage artists to submit works that respond to contemporary issues, such as but not limited to, racism, sexism, gender identity, and environmental issues. Please contribute your voice and be heard.
Submit works by midnight, April 20. Artists will be notified of their selection by April 26.
