Girl Scout Programs
Looking for something fun to do with your Girl Scout troop? Tacoma Art Museum offers badge programs for Brownies and Juniors! Book a badge program for your troop, or get together with another troop to make some new friends (minimum 12 participants; maximum 30 participants).
$20 per Scout; chaperones free at the required Scout ratio and $5 per additional chaperone. Cost includes art materials, badge, and a light snack.
Girl Scout programs are 3 – 4 hours long and can typically be scheduled on Saturdays, Sundays, or Thursday evenings. Additional times are available during school holidays and breaks. To request a program, complete the Scout Program Request form here.
Paint-Palooza: Painting Badge Program (Brownies, 3 hours long)
Artists take what they see and make it beautiful. Learn to paint and color your world in super strokes! You’ll explore Tacoma Art Museum’s galleries and check out some awesome paintings on display. Experiment with different styles, subjects, and painting tools. By the end of the program, you’ll have earned your Painting badge and made several works of art to take home.
Draw Your World!: Drawing Badge Program (Juniors, 4 hours long)
When you pick up your pencil, anything could leap from your mind onto a sheet of paper. That’s what makes drawing so fun! Get inspiration from drawings on view in our galleries. Explore techniques to make your drawings even better – which will make it even more fun to see what your imagination can do. By the end of the program, you’ll have earned your Drawing badge and have a portfolio of art to take home.
