Studio and Storytime

Join the Tacoma Public Library and the Tacoma Art Museum for Studio + Storytime held at the Museum!

A creative and imaginative morning awaits you at Tacoma Art Museum (TAM).  Join us for Studio and Storytime, a collaboration between Tacoma Public Library and TAM! 

Studio and Storytime begins with a reading of a storybook, exploring some art in TAM’s galleries, and then a hands-on art project in TAM’s Studio!

Geared towards kids ages 2-8, this workshop is FREE.
Please note:

Classroom space is limited; if the space is full the activity and book of the month will be available at TAM Studio on the first floor.

Saturday, January 25 

11 am – 12 pm

When Amy accidentally breaks her family’s lantern, she learns to mend the old with the new to create a new tradition. Includes instructions on how to make homemade lanterns.

Saturday, February 22

11 am – 12 pm

On a trip to the park with her mother, a young girl hears a rhythm coming from the world around her and begins to move to the beat, finally beginning an impromptu dance in which other children join her.
